Boiled Blue Crabs

Basic blue crab recipe. Crabs are ready to eat after boiling or the meat can be chopped and use in other seafood recipes.
  • 24 live, hard shell blue crabs
  • 6 quarts boiling water
  • 1/3 cup salt
  1. Place crabs in boiling salted water.
  2. Cover and return to boiling point.
  3. Simmer for 15 minutes.
  4. Drain.
  5. Serve hot or cold.
