Flaked Halibut

Flaked halibut
  • 1 pound halibut steaks or fillets
  • 1 quart boiling water
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  1. Place steaks in boiling salted water.
  2. Cover and return to boiling point; simmer for 10 minutes or until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork.
  3. Drain. Remove skin and bones.
  4. Flake.
Serves 6. This recipe will yield 2 cups flaked halibut that can be used in recipes calling for flaked fish.
