Spaghetti With Scallop Sauce

Spaghetti with scallop sauce.
Ingredients
  • 1 pound scallops, fresh or frozen
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • 1/4 cup butter or other fat, melted
  • 2 cans (8 ounces each) tomato sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Dash pepper
  • 3 cups cooked spaghetti
  • Grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
  1. Thaw frozen scallops.
  2. Remove any shell particles and wash.
  3. Cut large scallops in half.
  4. Cook onion, celery, garlic and parsley in butter until tender.
  5. Add tomato sauce, seasonings and scallops.
  6. Simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Serve over spaghetti.
  8. Garnish with cheese sprinkled over the top.
