- mackerel fillets, 2.2 lb (1 kg)
- 1 egg
- 4 Tbsp oil
- 2 Tbsp butter
- salt and pepper
- Sprinkle fillets with salt and pepper.
- Dip in egg, then roll on both sides in flour.
- Fry on both sides until golden.
- Spread butter on top of each fillet and serve with fried potatoes or a roll.
