- 1 pound halibut steaks or fillets
- 1 quart boiling water
- 1 tablespoon salt
- Place steaks in boiling salted water.
- Cover and return to boiling point; simmer for 10 minutes or until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork.
- Drain. Remove skin and bones.
Serves 6. This recipe will yield 2 cups flaked halibut that can be used in recipes calling for flaked fish.
